You can’t beat Hanalei Bay. An ideal evening for our family starts with picking up BBQ from Chicken in a Barrel and heading to the beach for a sunset dinner picnic. The kids head out for a late-afternoon surf sesh in the gentle waves (Black Pot is a favorite spot for beginner surfers and kiddos), while the adults get the bonfire and s’mores ready. After the sun sets the kids love looking for crabs along the shoreline while we watch the colors fade from the sky.
