Nearby Charley Young Beach lies one direction down Iliili Street, all sand and easy entry for swimming. Cove Park sits the other way, home to the surf break the building shares its view with. Both are an easy walk, along with Kalama Village's shops and restaurants and the Foodland grocery store for stocking the kitchen. The stretch is walkable enough that a rental car becomes optional.
